"The number of jobs needed every year for new entrants to the labour market to keep up with the growth of the global working age population amounts to 30 million."

The global unemployment rate in 2017 was 5.6 per cent, down from 6.4 per cent in 2000.

Globally, 61 per cent of all workers were engaged in informal employment in 2016.

470 million jobs will be needed to absorb new entrants to the labour market between 2016 and 2030.

COMMITMENTS

  2. Promote gender equality in the sector.
  3. Improve the income of SMEs by means of technological and non-technological innovation.
  4. Promote entrepreneurship for business models related to digitalization and sustainability.
  5. Foster the development of internal policies that promote equality.
  6. Raise awareness on the importance of complying with the Occupational Risk Prevention Law in the sector.
  7. Improve working conditions guaranteeing safety and comfort.

  3. Publicize the existing technological solutions.
  4. Establish ties with new start-ups so as to boost their growth.
  5. Provide companies with tools to define their equality plan.
  6. Provide accompaniment for companies to achieve the zero work accidents goal.
