La ERANET COFUND Water Works 2017 nace en el marco de la Iniciativa para la Programación Conjunta del Agua (Water JP) y está cofinanciada por la Unión Europea bajo el programa H2020-SC5-2017, con la misión de contribuir a la gestión sostenible de los recursos hídricos y reconciliar la demanda y suministro de este vital recursos, cerrando el ciclo del agua.
Se pretende favorecer la implementación de la Agenda Estratégica (SRIA) de la Water JPI, así como avanzar en el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible ODS 6 y ODS 13, relativos a agua y clima, en el marco de la Agenda 2030 de Naciones Unidas.
La convocatoria transnacional 2018 es la cuarta convocatoria de la Water JPI desde su lanzamiento y cuenta con la participación de 20 agencias de 18 países de Europa, América y África, que reúnen 19,3 millones de euros para financiar proyectos transnacionales de I+D en la esfera del agua. La financiación de los proyectos es descentralizada, cada agencia financiará a los solicitantes de su respectivo país/región.
Las propuestas deben centrarse en agua ddulce y/o transicional, pueden abordar todos los usos sociales y todos los ecosistemas acuáticos sujetos a impactos, tal como describe la Agenda Estratégica y deberán responder a las siguientes temáticas: tema 1: Facilitar la Gestión Sostenible de los Recursos Hídricos, tema 2: Fortalecer enfoques socio-económicos para la gestión del agua, tema 3: Herramientas de apoyo para la gestión integrativa y sostenible de los recursos.
España participa en esta convocatoria a través del Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial E.P.E (CDTI) y la Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI), dependientes del Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad. CDTI financiará las empresas y la AEI a entidades accadémicas. El presupuesto disponible de CDTI es de 700.000 euros y el respectivo de la AEI es de 600.000 euros. Sumando ambos presupuestos junto con la aportación de la UE, la financiación disponible para entidades españolas asciende a 1.9 millones de euros.
La financiación CDTI para empresas será en modalidad de subvención, con cuantía individualizada en función del coste financiable real del proyecto, las características del beneficiario y la disponibilidad presupuestaria, con intensidad máxima del 60% para pequeñas empresas, 50% para medianas y 40% para grandes empresas. CDTI emitirá el informe motivado ex-ante para desgravaciones fiscales por I+D.
La convocatoria internacional está organizada en dos fases (pre-propuestas y propuestas completas). La presentación de pre-propuestas estará abierta hasta el 24 de abril de 2018 (17:00 CEST). El día 12 de marzo se organizará un “webinar” informativo para solicitantes.
